Many of Pennsylvania’s and Ohio’s best handball players traveled to Sharon, PA for the twenty-fifth annual Don Godfrey tournament at the Buhl Club, hosted by PA handball ambassadors Jay and Jeff Cattron. The Buhl Club has a rich handball history, hosting handball giants Paul Haber and David Chapman throughout its one-hundred plus years in existence.
Harrisburg’s Andrew Reiersen proudly represented PA’s state capital in the 2025 Godfrey, traveling across the state to win the open singles. Reiersen ousted Pittsburgh’s Kirk Rys in the bottom bracket semifinals and overcame Ohio’s big-swinging lefty Joe Frankenfield in two games in the final.
Open Singles Final: Reiersen def Frankenfield 21-18, 21-7
WPH ambassador Rodney Fink won the Godfrey 70+ singles, defeating five-decade rival Jeff Cattron on his home court.
