Tucson, AZ, WPH Press, 4/3/18– The 2018 Race 4 Eight NYAC (April 13-15) will feature the third stop of the 2017-2018 WR48 tour, with the world’s top women’s stars battling for valuable ranking points in the Big Apple ahead of Salt Lake City’s WR48 Player’s Championship in early May.
Catriona Casey will make her 16th consecutive WR48 star in the 16th WR48 event since the inception of the tour in 2013 and will be seeking her mind-boggling 14th WR48 title. Casey lost in the ’17 WR48 Tucson Memorial final but bounced back to outscore her three opponents 90-9 at the season’s second stop in Las Vegas in February. Georgia’s Aimee Tuohey will aim to continue her WR48 semifinal streak (4 semifinals in 4 WR48 starts) in New York, while Brooklyn’s Tracy Davis will aim to build upon an impressive season that has seen the 41-year old take 3rd and 5th in her first two WR48 starts this season. Other ranked WR48 stars joining Casey, Tuohey, and Davis in New York will be Las Vegas WR48 finalist and fan favorite Courtney Peixoto de Melo, Chicago’s cross over star Hilary Rushe, and Women’s Classic champion Suz Koehler. Current all world, all code star Danielle Daskalakis will join the list of WR48 NYAC contenders, aiming to reestablish the momentum she built during an impressive 2016 WR48 run.
