2023 R48LTE Juarez Full Preview

The 2023 R48LTE Juarez marks the 77th event in the history of the Race 4 Eight tour, with the tour spanning 17 states and two countries in the R48’s first ten+ seasons.

The Race 4 Eight stop in Mexico features R48 #1 and tournament host Lucho Cordova, R48 #4 David Fink, R48 #5 Leo Canales, Jr., R48 #6 Danos Cordova, and R48 #7 Shorty Ruiz, in addition to a number of Race 4 Eight pros and aspiring pros.

The 2023 Juarez R48LTE has been highlighted in a 15-minute news segment on Juarez network television, in addition to being featured in El Diario (newspapaer).

“Cd. Juarez/El Paso, over time, has been characterized by having very good handball players with a very particular style of play,” stated VIII Juarez R48LTE tournament director and Juarez handball patriarch Luis Cordova, Sr. “Among them we can count Naty Alvarado, Elias Carrillo, Poncho Monreal, Salvador Santa Ana, Luis Clarke, Leo Canales Jr. and Cordova brothers Luis and Daniel, to name a few.”

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2022/23 Race 4 Eight XI Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops in Oregon, Arizona, Louisiana, Montana, Texas, Mexico, and Pennsylvania, all culminating with The Player’s Championship in Utah in May of 2023. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
