The World Players of Handball and the Juarez Handball Community are thrilled to present the VII Juarez R48LTE, March 31-April 2, 2023 at the Campestre Juarez Club. The VIII Juarez will be the second of four R48LTE stops on the 2022/23 ten-stop Race 4 Eight season and will boast one of the strongest LTE fields in history.

Known as the “Cradle of Champions” for producing champion handballers for the past six decades, the Juarez Handball Community is thrilled to showcase one of the world’s great handball meccas by welcoming the game’s best players in late March. In addition to boasting one of the greatest lists of champions of any city on the planet, Juarez also boasts a thriving junior handball program sponsored and supported by JR WPH. Juarez/El Paso, over time, has been characterized by having very good handball players with a very particular style of play,” stated VIII Juarez R48LTE tournament director and Juarez handball patriarch Luis Cordova, Sr. “Among them we can count Naty Alvarado, Elias Carrillo, Poncho Monreal, Salvador Santa Ana, Luis Clarke, Leo Canales Jr. and Cordova brothers Luis and Daniel, to name a few. Every player who has passed through Cd. Juarez can tell you about the style and grit of its players, as well as the atmosphere and warmth of its people, come and check it. This year, we have the confirmation of the presence of some of the best players of the moment such as Luis Cordova, Leo Canales Jr., Daniel Cordova, and Sean Lenning, all of them, plus the best players of Juarez/El Paso.”

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2022/23 Race 4 Eight XI Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops in Oregon, Arizona, Louisiana, Montana, Texas, and Pennsylvania, all culminating with The Player’s Championship in Utah in May of 2023. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
