WPH Rankings Post Houston

 

Martin Mulkerrins’ reign at number one lasted just 14 days; as Luis Cordova breaks the brief tie atop the leaderboard with a resounding finish in Houston.  Killian Carroll remains steady at #3, but finishing the season ranked #1, after his Houston loss, might be a long-shot.

17 year-old Andres Cordova’s #33 ranking gives the Cordova-family three brothers with a professional handball ranking lead by brothers Luis and Daniel Cordova’s number one and six ranking, respectively.

Dave Fink and Leo Canales remain at number 4 and 5; meanwhile, Daniel Cordova moves from 7 to 6 after his 6th place Houston finish. Braulio Ruiz and Max Langmack both hold steady at #7 and #8; well inside the Elite Eight.

Best Six Events Out of Eight

PRO MEN:

Catriona Casey has always been ranked #1 since the women’s tour started some six years ago and her position atop the leaderboard remains unthreatened after missing one of four tour strops this season.  Fiona Tully is a clear #2 and Casey’s biggest competitor; meanwhile, Ashley Ruiz and Aimee Tuohey hold the #3 and #4 spots for the second straight stop.

DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
