Portland, OR, WPH Press, 10/15/19-  The 2019 R48 IX R48LTE Portland Classic marks the 59th event in the history of the Race 4 Eight tour, with the tour spanning 16 states in the R48’s first nine seasons. The 2019 R48 IX R48LTE Portland Classic will feature four of the R48’s top six pros, including R48 #3 Sean Lenning and R48 #4 Lucho Cordova, as well as Next Gen star and R48 #24 Niall O’Connor and former R48 Elite 8 member and defending Portland Classic champion Aaron Garner.

More than 90 handball players from across the country will compete in men’s and women’s singles and doubles brackets at the famed Multnomah Athletic Club in downtown Portland, one of the world’s most prestigious athletic clubs. The MAC hosted the R48 Player’s Championship in 2016, producing electrifying handball on the most fan-friendly two-Wall glass exhibition court in the sport and the third edition of the Portland Classic and the third R48 stop at the MAC will undoubtedly produce more electrifying moments.
