If you love all forms of handball, a trip south of the border to Juarez is a requirement. Juarez offers a vibrant 4-Wall community, headed by the Three Flying Cordova brothers, top open and junior players, and skill level players at the San Angel Club and Campestre Juarez Country Club.

Fronton is the most popular form of handball in Juarez, with more than 1,000 players playing across eight venues and thirty courts. 107 players compete in the Fronton doubles league with 15 teams competing. The Juarez fronton game is played with a sponge rubber ball that is heavier and bigger than a big ball handball.

“I have been to Juarez and Fronton is huge,” stated WPH Executive Director Dave Vincent. “Luis Cordova is a huge celebrity there. There are probably one thousand people at the events and they all know and are fans of Luis, from the fans to all of the vendors. It’s no different than Paul Brady in Cavan (Ireland).”

Thank you to Juarez patriarch Lucho Cordova, Sr. for info on the Juarez handball community.
