USHA National Four-Wall Championships: Lenning/Mattioni Take the Open Title

WPH Press, Atlanta, GA, 11/14/21

The USHA proudly presented the 2021 USHA National Four-Wall Championships in the second week of November at Atlanta’s Rec ATL, with more than 30 teams competing in seven brackets, including the Men’s Open Doubles featuring the four semi finalists from last week’s R48 X Stop #1 in Tucson (Carroll, Flying Cordovas, Lenning).

Sean Lenning and Nick Mattioni clinched the four-team Men’s Open Doubles round robin with a record of 2-1, dropping one of their three matches to the Flying Cordovas and winning their other two against Carroll/McCrystal and Esser/Langmack.

“It was hard playing the right, but I did enough to let Sean do his thing,” stated Mattioni. “Killian didn’t look great all weekend, I think he had some issues with his hand. Sean was on fire all weekend.”
