WPH Press, Belfast, Northern Ireland, 11/14/21

The GAA welcomed the best players in GAA Handball back to the 4-Wall courts in Belfast, to include the return of 42-year-old living legend Paul Brady, Martin Mulkerrins, Catriona Casey, Aisling Reilly, Diarmaid Nash, and many more.

Men’s Open – From GAA Handball

“  !

Mulkerrins power and brilliant serving down the right hand side saw him storm to the opener 15-5. Brady found more joy with his shooting in the second, taking a bit of pace off his kills.

The intensity never let up on the tiebreak, with Brady holding his nerve to seal the win 11-8.

Charly Shanks sees off Sean Kerr 15-8, 15-0 to set up a Final later today with Paul Brady at the 2021 Golden Gloves in Belfast.

Shanks showcased his vast experience, pinning his younger counterpart Kerr back throughout, dominating the front court with some great corner kill shots.

Age is only a number as Paul Brady proved this weekend, defeating all comers to win the 2021 Golden Gloves Elite Men’s title.

At 42 years of age, Brady still turned up in great shape, and of course his skill and execution levels being outstanding! Having seen off Jordan O’Neill, Colin Crehan and Martin Mulkerrims en route to the Final, Brady took down Charly Shanks 15-9, 15-0 in tonight’s final in Belfast.” (quotation recap courtesy of GAA Handball)
