The R48 and WR48 #1’s Are on Fire!

R48 #1 Killian Carroll and WR48 #1 Danielle Daskalakis are both en fuego, with Carroll winning 31 consecutive WPH pro matches in 3-Wall and 4-Wall, and Danielle winning eight consecutive WPH pro matches in 3-Wall and 4-Wall. These two superstars win in the Tucson heat and in the climate-controlled indoor 4-Wall arena.

Killian’s 31-Match, 8-Tournament Winning Streak

  • 31 straight WPH pro singles wins
  • 8 consecutive WPH pro singles titles
  • 800 days since his last WPH pro singles loss
  • 61-4 in games won/lost during 31-match streak
  • 5 consecutive R48 (4-Wall) titles
  • 3 consecutive WPH Icebreaker (3-Wall) titles (undefeated in Icebreaker career)

  • Killian has held the R48 #1 ranking since April of 2017

Danielle’s 8-Match, 3-Tournament Winning Streak

  • 8 consecutive WPH pro singles wins
  • 3 consecutive titles (2021 Ice Bowl, 2021 USHA Four Wall Nationals, 2022 January Classic)
  • 16-3 in games won/lost (84%) in 8-match streak
  • 3-0 in tiebreakers
  • 338-200 points won/lost (63%) during 8-match streak
  • First American player to win a WR48 event (Casey: 20, Reilly: 1, McMahon: 1, Danielle: 1)
  • Daskalakis is the only Race 4 Eight champion to have also won the 1-Wall small ball and big ball singles national titles, the 3-Wall singles national title, and the 4-Wall national title.
  • Daskalakis is the current 3-Wall national singles champion, current 4-Wall national champion, and currently the #1 player on the 2021/22 WR48 tour

DV: David Vincent formed the World Players of Handball in 2005 and ushered live handball viewing into our living rooms for the first time. Since its inception, the World Players of Handball has broadcast over 1,500 matches live. Dave Vincent serves as the lead play-by-play announcer for virtually all matches, combining his unique perspective and personality with a lifetime of handball experience. DV brings 25 years of broadcast radio experience (in Oregon and California) to World Players of Handball & ESPN broadcasts and provides professionalism and wit to the amazing game of handball. DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
