Race 4 Eight legend Mando Ortiz coached a JR WPH Clinic for the Santa Ana Handball Club at the Bill Doles Baby Doll doubles tournament in Riverside, CA. The two-time Race 4 Eight champion and former R48 #1 taught the large group of youngsters how to step into the ball to execute his patented back wall kill. “I was happy to step up and drop some knowledge about our great game,” stated Mando.

“The clinic went great,” exclaimed SAHC founder and coach Gilbert Granado. “Mando shared about how he grew up playing handball and was playing against the best at age 15. He practiced the back wall shot and letting the ball drop low and stepping into your shot to give you more power!”

Led by Gilbert Granado, the Santa Ana Handball Club enjoyed an unforgettable week that started with a clinic at the LAFD Fire Station 4 in Los Angeles (HERE), competed in the Santa Ana Handball Club sponsored El Salvador doubles on the last Friday in July, and had a chance to learn from one of the Race 4 Eight’s greats in Riverside.
