Top-seeded David Fink was seeking his fifth R48 final and first R48 title, while Leo Canales, Jr. was seeking his first R48 final and first win against Fink. The pair had played earlier in the summer in a July Icebreaker quarterfinal, with Fink winning in two games. Could Canales turn the table on his nemesis in this semifinal showdown?
