Two-time defending R48 Player’s Champion Killian Carroll has been the overwhelmingly dominant player on the R48 7 tour, winning the first three events in Atlanta, Tucson, and Montana, losing in the finals of the fourth in Las Vegas, and bouncing back to win Houston and New York. Sean Lenning bounced back from a left shoulder injury to improve his ranking from #6 at the start of the season to #2 with three semifinal finishes in Atlanta, Tucson, and Montana, his first R48 win in 22 months Las Vegas, and his second finals appearance of the season in Houston.

- Sean Lenning (Las Vegas ’18) and Killian Carroll (Montana ’18) have scored the most points (132) in a tournament this season
- Killian Carroll has shattered the record of five straight R48 finals appearances by Paul Brady from (2014-2015) by appearing in 10 straight R48 finals and counting (winning eight), starting with the R48 6 New Orleans ’17 and continuing through the R48 7 NYAC‘18
- The top four R48 Men’s pros heading into Salt Lake have all appeared in at least one final: Carroll (6), Lenning (2), Ortiz (2), D. Cordova (1). In comparison, three of the top five ranked WR48 pros have appeared in a final this season: Casey (3), McMahon (1), Peixoto de Melo (1)
- Killian Carroll holds the best R48 career winning percentage of anyone currently in the R48 Elite 8: 82% (58-13). Paul Brady holds the best winning percentage of any player in the history of the R48 tour: 95% (59-3)
- After winning three straight semifinal matches from November ’16 through February of ’17, David Fink has lost four straight semifinal matches from April ’17 through March ‘18
