The 2017-2018 R48 7 staged its seventh and final event of the season at the Salt Lake City Aces Player’s Championship, featuring the R48, WR48, and SR48 pros in action. Killian Carroll dominated the R48 Men’s field, winning his sixth title of the season and third consecutive R48 Player’s Championship, while WR48 #1 Catriona Casey clinched her third WR48 title of the season and fifth consecutive WR48 Player’s Championship and Marcos Chavez clinched his fourth SR48 Player’s Championship.

- Catriona Casey became the first women’s player in the history of handball to defeat a current men’s pro in tournament play at the NYAC ‘8. Casey defeated then R48 #22 Loren Collado 25-19 in the 17th place playoffs
