WPH Outdoor Swings by Buena Park, CA

Each Sunday in Southern California, hundreds of handball players gather to play a sport that has become part of their lives.  The ages of these fanatic players varies; from 6 years old to 70 plus.  In all, they get great games in and before you know it, a tournament breaks out.

Today, Javier Flores and myself [Tom Flores] made Buena Park our first stop, as we cruise around taking visual snapshots of the days action, but in multiple counties.

On arrival, we witnessed many players.  It’s cold outside for SoCal, and we expected a quarter of the crowds, but just a little sun peeking through the clouds and the baller’s seem to come out of the woodwork.

With the first glance, we noticed the powerhouse group of “El Hombre” Alfredo Morales, Fuji Hernandez, Edgar Vizcaino, Kevin Gonzalez, “Lobo” Ramon Valencia, and many more ranked and un-ranked WPH pros.  Heck, we even saw a couple traditional small ball players out here Xrossing-Over!

Hoards of JR WPH youth and some not associated were present, playing pick up game on the three, then one wall courts.  “We are looking forward the the 2016 outdoor handball season with the WPH,” said Marcos Chavez and then re-confirmed by Alfredo Morales.

“Sundays are always the best time to catch some good games,” one local player added. We agree!  Singles and doubles were reportedly played from dusk until dawn on this day.

Every now and then, Javier [Assistant to the WPH Outdoor Director] and I will swing by a different event, court, park or function and report back.  Contact us and we will pre-promote your function, stop buy, and highlight.
