Season 14 of the WPH Race 4 Eight tour reached a fever pitch in Salt Lake City as the world’s best converged on the Sports Mall for the 2026 WPH Aces Player’s Championship. It was a weekend defined by bracket-busting upsets, the crowning of season champions, and a historic shift in the Men’s Pro ranks.
The Men’s Pro: A New Guard Emerges The tournament was turned upside down early when top-seeded Lucho Cordova (Mex) was stunned in the Round of 16 by Coleman McGrath (CA). The upsets continued in the quarterfinals as Sean Lenning eliminated the #2 seed, Martin Mulkerrins (IRL), and Daniel Cordova (MEX/TX) dispatched the #3 seed, Leo Canales (TX/MEX).
The chaos paved the way for the youngest cumulative final in Race 4 Eight history, featuring 24-year-old Ray Ure (IL) and 22-year-old Mark Doyle (IRL). In a battle between training partners, Ure showcased his elite precision to claim his second Race title and the prestigious Player’s Championship trophy, winning 15-9, 15-3.
The Women’s Pro: Heffernan’s Flawless Finish Niamh Heffernan (IRL) capped off a dominant season with a masterclass performance in the finals against Aoife Holden (IRL). Heffernan’s relentless serve and error-free play secured a 15-2, 15-7 victory, officially earning her the Player’s Cup as the tour’s top-ranked woman for the season.
The Senior Tour: Lenning Pulls the Double Fresh off his quarterfinals run in the Men’s Pro, Sean Lenning (WA) proved why he remains one of the most dangerous players in the sport. Lenning dominated the Senior final against newcomer Jeff Streibig (MO), securing both the tournament title and the Senior Player’s Cup with a 15-9, 15-4 win.
