The Colorado Handball Association and tournament director Veggie Vair were proud to present the 2026 Colorado State Singles on the last weekend in March at the Apex Racquetball and Fitness Center.
Colorado is undoubtedly one of handball’s hotspots, with current and aspiring Race 4 Eight pros John Chapman, Eli Gutierrez, and Jon Gutierrez raising the Colorado handball profile with their outstanding play, in addition to a number of the Rocky Mountain’s top amateur players.
Men’s Open Singles
Former college baseball player and former Race 4 Eight pro Tyler Stoffel returned to handball after a long tournament layoff to win the 2026 Colorado State singles. Stoffel completed the Gutierrez Slam, defeating Jon in two games in the semifinals and Eli in a thriller in the final.
“Tyler was ecstatic after his win,” Jon Gutierrez would later say. “Tyler is a man of few words but he was ecstatic for his hard-fought victory.”
