The World Players of Handball is thrilled to return to Juarez, Mexico from March 29-31, 2024 for the second consecutive year for the 2024 Race 4 Eight Men’s Pro and WR48 at the beautiful Campestre Juarez, one of the most electric facilities in the sport.

Lucho Cordova won the inaugural Race 4 Eight Juarez on his home court at the Campestre Juarez and will aim to defend his title, while the Women’s Race 4 Eight will crown the first WR48 champion in Mexico.

“Cd. Juarez/El Paso, over time, has been characterized by having very good handball players with a very particular style of play,” stated 2024 Juarez Race 4 Eight tournament director and Juarez handball patriarch Luis Cordova, Sr. “Among them we can count Naty Alvarado, Elias Carrillo, Poncho Monreal, Salvador Santa Ana, Luis Clarke, Leo Canales Jr. and Cordova brothers Luis and Daniel, to name a few.”

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2023/24 Race 4 Eight XIII Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops in Oregon, Arizona, Missouri, Montana and Mexico, all culminating with The Player’s Championship in Utah in May of 2023. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
