Kingscourt, IRE, WPH Press, 3/8/20- The most prestigious 4-Wall event in Ireland trimmed its field to two players in the men’s and women’s singles at the All Ireland 4-Wall Singles Championship, as the six-week event hosted its semifinals on the first Saturday in March.
Men’s All Ireland 4-Wall Singles Championship Semifinals
Irish #1 Robbie McCarthy advanced to his eighth All Ireland 4-Wall Singles final in nine years, thrashing former All Ireland 4-Wall Singles champion Charly Shanks, while 2018 All Ireland 4-Wall Singles champion and R48 #5 Martin Mulkerrins started slowly in the bottom bracket semifinal, trailing Diarmaid Nash 18-2 and eventually dropping the first game 21-10 before rallying to win the next two convincingly.

Martina McMahon was sharp in overcoming WR48 #3 Fiona Tully in the upper bracket women’s semifinal, allowing the rising star just 12 points in two games. Catriona Casey advanced to her eighth consecutive All Ireland 4-Wall Singles Championship final, defeating longtime rival Aisling Reilly with identical 21-10 scores.
