On this WPH Wednesday Workout, we’ll examine the incredibly grueling and difficult Tennis Crunch Workout of the Greek Olympian Maria Sakkari.

Greece’s Maria Sakkari has transformed herself from the 168th ranked player on the WTA Tour in 2016 to the #19 ranked player on the WTA in 2021 by becoming one of the fittest tennis players in the game. Sakkari’s impossible-to-most Tennis Crunch Workout incorporates agility, dexterity, strength, conditioning, and willpower. Unlike most WPH Wednesday Workouts that are designed for you, do not try most of Sakkari’s exercises – they are too difficult!

Let’s breakdown Sakkari’s Tennis Crunch Workout:

  • Medicine ball twist throws while moving side to side
  • Jump lunges, alternating sides
  • Medicine ball overhand twist throws into a wall
  • Decline pushups on one leg
  • One leg squats on the bosu ball
