Max Breaks Down His Tournament Week Preparation

The WPH is thrilled to introduce WPH Tournament Preparation Series, taking you inside the tournament preparation of the game’s top players. In the WPH Tournament Preparation Series, you will learn what it takes for the sport’s best to condition themselves for the physical and mental rigors of pro level competition.

Max Langmack is one of the sport’s most versatile stars, excelling in not only handball, but guitar, songwriting, and ice hockey. Langmack is also one of the sport’s most active stars, regularly playing 22-25 tournaments per year. Langmack recently completed the 2021/22 Race season at #10 in the rankings, his highest career ranking. In this edition of the WPH Tournament Preparation Series, Max reveals how he stays fit enough to play 20+ tournaments per year.

Monday – Running or cardio of some sort, if not recovering from a tournament. 

Tuesday – Weights focused on explosive training. 

Wednesday – Handball Drills and work on shots.

Thursday – Weights focused on strength training. 

Friday – Off day

Saturday – Play handball games 

Sunday – Weights focused on strength training
