2018 WPH Outdoor 7 IceMan: 1/27-1/28 2018
Stockton, CA, WPH Press, 12/18/17- WPH Outdoor is thrilled to present the IceMan Challenge for the third consecutive year on January 27-28, 2018 at the In-Shape West Lane, located at 1074 Bianchi Dr., Stockton, CA 95210. The Iceman is the second stop of the 2018 WPH Outdoor 7 season, coming just two weeks after the WPH Outdoor Castle Hill Florida Cup. The 2018 WPH Outdoor Iceman will feature Pro Big Ball Men’s singles and doubles, B, C, 40+ and 50+ Big Ball singles, B, C, and 40+ Big Ball doubles, and 11-and under, 15-and under, and 19-and under junior Big Ball singles.
Long Beach’s Manny Suarez will aim to defend his pro singles title in Stockton, while the rest of the top stars will aim to prevent a “Young Kobe” repeat. Suarez survived match point in his thrilling semifinal and final wins against WPH Outdoor #2 Timbo Gonzalez and WPH Outdoor #1 Samzon Hernandez en route to his maiden WPH Outdoor singles title at last year’s Iceman, proving he can withstand the pressure when facing the game’s best. “I had him last year and I let him off the hook,” stated WPH Outdoor #1 Samzon Hernandez. “I’m going to try to get that Iceman title back in January.” Unlike last year, Suarez will enter Suarez as the hunted, meaning each WPH Outdoor star will be seeking to dethrone the “Ice King.”
“This is a can’t miss event with WPH ambassador and Stockton legend Angel Hernandez running the show and huge WPH Outdoor ranking points on the line,” stated WPH Outdoor Director David Fink. “Not only are rankings points on the line for the Men’s Pro singles and doubles, but a lot of cash as well. Expect to see the best 4-Wall Big Ballers in the world battling on In Shape’s 4-Wall courts.”
