Maumee, OH, WPH Press, 8/29/17- WPH Outdoor is thrilled to present its sixth ranking event of the WPH Outdoor 6 season at the 67th USHA Three-Wall Nationals in Maumee, OH during Labor Day Weekend, featuring Men’s 3-Wall Big Ball Doubles and Men’s 3-Wall 1-Wall Big Ball Doubles. The Big Ball brackets at the USHA Three-Wall Nationals will provide the final opportunity for WPH Outdoor stars to earn ranking points before the WPH Outdoor 6 season finale at the WPH/WOR 3WallBall Outdoor World Championships in Las Vegas, September 21-24, 2017.
Ranked #9, Shorty Ruiz is the highest ranked WPH Outdoor star entered in the Big Ball doubles brackets in Maumee and could jump into the top six with a 3-Wall Big Ball doubles title in Maumee. “I got off to a good start this season at the IceMan, but a combination of poor results and missing some stops has left me pretty far down the rankings,” stated crossover star Shory Ruiz. “The Three-Wall Nationals is one of my favorite events and I’ve prepared very hard to do well. I’m hoping for good results to give me a chance at the Player’s Cup in Vegas.”
Ruiz will team with R48 qualifier hopeful Carlos Lemus in the 3-Wall Big Ball doubles. Ruiz and Lemus will be joined in the 3-Wall Big Ball doubles by New York’s Christpher Miranda and Allan Sanchez, Lake Forest’s Ricardo Palma and Juan Canales, as well as Canada’s Ivan Burgos, New York’s Matt Chu, and Chicago’s Marco Lemus. The 1-Wall Big Ball doubles will feature Miranda and Sanchez and the “Bash Brothers,” Tyree and Jurell Bastidas.
