WPH Memory Mondays: Mike Semplice

WPH Press, 8/24/20

The WPH is thrilled to present Memory Mondays (video) during the ongoing handball quarantine, featuring the top indoor and outdoor Race 4 Eight pros discussing their favorite handball memories, who inspired them to become a handball player, their favorite tournament and the best player they’ve ever played. You won’t dread Monday mornings any longer!

Mike Semplice has sat atop the WPH Pittsburgh Ladder for most of the last seven years, while serving as one of the WPH’s best supporters and tournament directors (RFC). Semplice came to handball in the early 2000’s after a successful high school and college basketball career, transitioning quickly into an open level player. Semplice is one of the area’s top personal trainers, boasting a client base of elite professional and amateur athletes, in addition to several hundred aspiring top athletes (check out Mike’s WPH Wednesday Workout HERE).

Mike is a R48 and SR48 hopeful, coming close, in early 2020 to earning a ranking on both tours.

Known as “199,” Mike shares his greatest handball memories, inspirations and more on this week’s WPH Memory Monday:
