The WPH is proud to present the WPH Icebreaker #6, the sixth official WPH Icebreaker event since September.

“We want to show people that we could safely hold an event with all of the COVID protocols in place,” stated WPH Executive Director David Vincent. “We allowed a limited number of socially distant fans, while ensuring the players were distanced as much as possible.”

Canales and Esser met in the Collegiate Rivalry Match in Icebreaker #4, with Canales winning an exciting clash in two games.

Canales raced to an 18-8 lead in the Icebreaker #6 third place one-game match to 21, taking advantage of Esser’s errors and executing a number of right-hand kills. Esser mounted a comeback from 8-18, eventually clawing his way back to 14-20, but was unable to overcome his nemesis, falling to Canales for the second time in Icebreaker action.

Final: Canales def Esser 21-14
