“I love playing in Portland because we have such a diversity of clubs and diversity of players of all skill levels to play with,” stated WPH and Portland handball ambassador Nick Flores. “Anyone of any age, gender, or skill level can get great matches in Portland. The Lloyd Athletic Club is very accessible, with guest fees at $10 and a roster of over fifty players to play, as well as four beers on tap just feet from the show court. LAC is where handball players from all over the area come together, and the most competitive matches are played at LAC. Friday nights the open players come down to take over the show court, and the crowd drinks beer and bets on the games, and we bang on the glass “Tucson style”. We draw players from all the other clubs in Portland, as well as players like Killian Carroll who visited us for a month last fall, and Sean Lenning who visited us for a few weeks this spring. Portland is truly a handball destination!”

Portland is a can’t miss handball mecca. If you are traveling to Portland or would like to be a part of the incredible Portland handball community, contact Nick Flores at nickflores21@outlook.com
