WPH Clarkbreaker Clarktember Fest Full Preview

Tucson, AZ, WPH Press, 9/14/22

WPH mega donor Doug Clark will proudly host the Clarktember Clarkbreaker at Clark Park, kicking off on September 17 at Clark Park. The Clarkbreaker will feature men’s and women’s small ball singles and men’s small ball and big ball doubles, with a special Saturday night BBQ and under the lights play.

Lucho Cordova has dominated the 2022 WPH Icebreaker Series, winning both of his small ball singles starts this summer without dropping a game. Lucho has served four donuts in the 16 games he has won this summer at Clark Park, making him the heavy favorite in the men’s small ball singles at the Clarkbreaker.

Three-time undefeated Icebreaker big ball pro singles champion Brian Medina leads the largest and strongest big ball singles field singles field in Icebreaker history, including a contingent of Southern California’s best and along with several cross over stars. “I love the competition and I love when all of the best players are entered,” stated Medina.

Two-time Icebreaker women’s singles champion Mikaila Esser will aim for her third Icebreaker title at the Clarkbreaker, while current 3-Wall national champion Ashley Ruiz will be seeking to tie Esser with her second Icebreaker title.

The Clarkbreaker will also feature the first Big Ball doubles draws, with 27 teams combined in the pro and B big ball doubles, while two-time defending national champions Sam Esser and Shorty Ruiz will be aiming for their second small ball Icebreaker doubles title.
