Tyree Wins #11 at the 64th USHA National One Wall Championships

Brooklyn, NY, WPH Press, 8/3/25

The United States Handball Association proudly presented the 64th USHA National One Wall Championships at Coney Island West 5th St. & Surf Ave in Brooklyn, NY, with the best 1-Wall small ball players in the world competing for the most prestigious prize in 1-Wall small ball handball.

Men’s Pro Singles and Doubles

Tyree dominated the singles at the 64th USHA National One Wall Championships, winning his eleventh title. Tyree allowed just 21 total points in winning his eleventh.

Team Bastidas fell short in the doubles final, dropping game one and building a huge lead in game two of the final but ultimately falling to 1-Wall doubles specialists Allan Sanchez and Carlin Rosa.

“The singles was played after the doubles, so the brothers were gassed, especially Jurell,” stated WPH Northeast handball correspondent and international handball ambassador Jared Vale. “Jurell’s body was hurting. He gave it all he had game one and I think that emptied the tank.  The doubles took a lot out of them as well. Team Bastidas lost a close game one and were up 17-4 in the second and didn’t score again.

Men’s Pro Singles Final: Tyree def Jurell 21-13, 21-12

Men’s Pro Doubles Final: Sanchez/Rosa def Team Bastidas 21-17, 21-17

35+ Singles Final: Davila def Valenzuela 21-9, 21-9

40+ Singles Final: Polanco def Rebaza 21-9, 21-10

50+ Singles Final: Kaplan def Madera 21-9, 21-10
