The TEDI II – Pro Doubles Returns to Tucson

Friday at the TEDI

Tucson, AZ, WPH Press, 10/23/26

Ashley Ruiz, Jeff Healam, and Doug Clark were proud to present the 2026 TEDI, the Tucson Elite Doubles Invitational at the Tucson Racquet Club on the weekend before Halloween.

The TEDI is an eight-team doubles-only tournament featuring Team Cordova, current USHA national 4-Wall doubles champions Ray Ure and Ivan Burgos, Sean Lenning, Mark Doyle, Jab Bike, Shorty Ruiz, John Chapman, Max Langmack and many more of the game’s top players. “We feel like we never see the best doubles because guys are always playing singles as well,” stated TEDI sponsor Jeff Healam. “This way the guys will be fresh and have a great time.”

Quarterfinals

The defending champion Cordovas advanced in two games in their opening match against Team Langmack/Brule, needing a comeback from 13-9 in the first game and holding off a Langmack/Brule comeback late in the second. “It’s tough to comeback from 9-13 in doubles, I thought we were done there,” Danos would later say after running his TEDI record to a perfect 4-0.

Team Lenning/Chapman bulldozed the R48 #1 Martin Mulkerrins and Dave Munson, leaving a vapor trail of destruction on their march to the semifinals.

Jab Bike returned from a Hawaii vacation to partner with his LAAC and Digi Flex teammate Dylan Hernandez to defeat current USHA 4-Wall national doubles finalists Leo Canales and Abraham Montijo in three games.

The current USHA 4-Wall national doubles champions (Ure/Burgos) survived a scare against the paddling duo of Ruiz and Doyle, dropping a lopsided second game before rallying to advance to Saturday’s semifinals.
