The Race 4 Eight: A Family Affair

The Race 4 Eight has hosted eighty-eight events since the inaugural Race 4 Eight event at the Plummer Bash in October of 2011. The Race 4 Eight has featured champions from the U.S., Mexico, and Ireland, in addition to more than three-thousand participants competing in the R48 Men’s Pro, WR48, and SR48 brackets. A number of those participants are family, with a number of siblings, spouses, father and sons, and extended family part of the more than three-thousand Race 4 Eight competitors.

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s 2024/25 Race 4 Eight XIV Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops from California to Mexico, all culminating with The Player’s Championship. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes.
