The WPH is thrilled to present the January Classic, the fourth Race 4 Eight Men’s Pro Stop of the R48 10 season at the Tucson Racquet Club in Tucson, AZ, January 14-16, 2022. The Tucson Racquet Club is located at 4001 N Country Club Rd., Tucson, AZ 85716.

The first pro event of 2022 will feature many of the game’s best, to include current world and national champion and 17-time Race 4 Eight champion Killian Carroll. Carroll will be seeking his fifth consecutive Race 4 Eight title, a streak that started with the January 2020 Montana Red Death. “Killian is obviously the guy to beat,” stated WPH Executive Director Dave Vincent. “Killy surpassed Paul Brady’s Race 4 Eight Men’s Pro record with 16 titles at the 2021 Tucson Memorial and he seems intent on putting the record completely out of reach, even for future generations.”

The R48 Men’s Pro Singles will be an open draw, meaning there will not be a qualifier. The top 10 finishers in the Men’s R48 Pro January Classic will earn R48 Ranking points.

The January 14-16 WPH January Classic will also feature Women’s Pro Singles (non WR48), A Singles, Open Doubles, and B Doubles. The matches will likely start early on Saturday morning, but could start late on Friday evening, depending on draw sizes.

You won’t beat the weather in Tucson in mid-January, so make your plans now to attend the first pro event of 2022!
