Missoula, MT, WPH Press, 6/13/19- The World Players of Handball’s Race 4 Eight Tour is thrilled to host the 2020 Race 4 Eight 9 Montana Red Death Stop #3, January 24-26, 2020 at the Peak Racquet Center, located at 4990 Buckhouse Ln., Missoula, MT 59804.

The 2020 R48 9 Red Death will mark the 61st event in the history of the Race 4 Eight tour, with the tour spanning 16 states in its first eight+ seasons.
R48 #1 Killian Carroll (IRE) will be aiming for a three-peat at the Red Death, having won titles in the first two R48 Red Death events in 2018 and 2019. To stay undefeated at the Red Death, Carroll will have to overcome his R48 Elite 8 peers and a historically strong group of Red Death qualifiers, complete with “Next Gen” stars and R48 veterans.
The Red Death will also feature amateur singles and doubles brackets for locals and regional stars to compete.
Since hosting its first R48 event in January of 2018, the R48 Red Death has quickly announced itself as one of the premiere stops on the Race 4 Eight tour.
“We heard great things about the Red Death event for many years and it was all that we had been told and much more,” exclaimed WPH Executive Director David Vincent. “Endless hospitality, enthusiastic fans, an outstanding facility, and some of the most knowledgeable and appreciative handball fans in the world made the R48 Red Death an instant player’s favorite. We cannot wait to kickoff 2020 in Missoula!”
“The crowd in Missoula has always treated me like family and that’s a feeling that I wanted all the guys on tour to experience,” stated R48 9 Red Death co-host and R48 top 20 pro Abraham Montijo. “You would never think that a town like Missoula could host one of the best tournaments of the year! They love having the pros there and they do a tremendous job in all aspects of hosting a tournament.”
