The Olympic Club is thrilled to present the OC Invitational Singles & R48 Pre Qualifier at the Olympic Club, located at 524 Post St., San Francisco, CA 94102.

The OC Invitational Singles & R48 Pre Qualifier is open to all players, including the R48 Elite 8. The winner of the men’s open singles bracket will be awarded $300 from the WPH upon completion of his first Race 4 Eight match during the 2022/23 Race 4 Eight season. The $300 travel stipend cannot be transferred to another player.

“We are very excited about partnering with the Olympic Club, one of the Race 4 Eight’s greatest supporters, in presenting the OC Invitational Singles & R48 Pre Qualifier in December,” stated the WPH’s David Fink. “The Olympic Club boasts a long history of great players and great events. The Olympic continues to grow the game with strong junior and amateur programs and first-class events every year.”

“There will be a handful of divisions in the OC Invitational Singles & R48 Pre Qualifier, including a junior division to help the kids prep for the junior nationals the following week in Pleasanton, CA,” stated tournament director and R48 pro Loren Collado.

Since 2017, R48 Pre Qualifiers have been held in Pittsburgh, Tucson, Austin, L.A., San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Portland, and College Station creating tremendous excitement for players and fans. The WPH is proud to provide extensive promotion, real-time and post coverage of all R48 Pre Qualifiers.

DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
