The Alten Foundation Continues to Grow the Game in the PNW

Portland, OR, WPH Press, 9/4/24

The Alten Foundation continues to grow the game in the Pacific Northwest, offering free entries to all players in Pacific Northwest State tournaments in 2025 and building and upgrading outdoor handball courts across the Pacific Northwest.

“The Board of Directors of the Alten Handball Foundation has recently voted to approve entry fees for all participants for all state tournaments in 2025 in the Pacific Northwest,” stated the Alten Foundation’s Steve Grow. “The first tournament to be sponsored will be the non-pro brackets Oregon State Singles, held in conjunction with the Portland Classic to be held October 4-6, 2024 at the Multnomah Athletic Club. This funding is in addition to the regular sponsorship funding the foundation already gives to all tournaments in the PNW. Our goal is to try and get more people to enter. We have also created 1-Walls court in the Portland area, refurbished 3-Wall courts in Salem and provided court maintenance on 3-Wall courts in Washington.”

Thank you to the Alten Foundation for their incredible generosity and passion for growing the sport.
