The 65th USHA National Four-Wall Handball Championships: Day Three Wrap Up, by Dave Fink

The World Players of Handball is proud to be on site at the 65th USHA National Four-Wall Championships at the Los Caballeros Sports Village in Fountain Valley, CA. The World Players of Handball will be providing updates throughout the opening rounds and will be live streaming coverage starting Friday, June 12th through Sunday June 14th on race4eight.com.

Paul Brady continued his quest for his 10th USHA National Singles title, disposing of Vic Perez in two games. Mando Ortiz dominated game one against David Fink and erased a 14-19 deficit in game two to win 21-20 to face Brady in Friday’s semifinals. Sean Lenning overwhelmed former WPH #1 Charly Shanks in two lopsided games to setup a semifinal clash with his longtime rival Emmett Peixoto. Peixoto defeated all-around superstar Shorty Ruiz in two games.

The women’s pros kicked off their singles play with NYAC ’15 WR48 finalist Cianna Ni Churraoin, Lisa Fraser Gilmore, Aoife McCarthy and Maria Dugas advancing to the Friday’s round of 8.
