The 2026 Dan Gebben Classic Wraps

The spectacular Charter Oak Park played host to the 2026 Dan Gebben Classic at one of the Northeast’s premier outdoor handball destinations, featuring 65 entries and matches running from 8 am until 9 pm on a perfect Saturday in late July at Charter Oak Park. Charter Oak Park is one of the only parks in the Northeast with both 3-Wall and 1-Wall courts, making Charter Oak Park a destination-must for all handballers.

Tom Marzilli teamed up with Sheik Hossain to beat Killian Carroll and Chris Diminico in Open Small Ball division by 25-16 margin

Sheik slammed in the Big Ball Open with his partner Stephen Naverro over the team of Jack Wu and Max Chiang 

Joe Kaplan and Jai Ragoo won the round robin in the 50s doubles division 

Mike Angley and Rich Mascia beat Roland Langevin and Steve Ingemi in the 60s doubles by a 25-11 margin

John Bransfield and Mike Sullivan beat Jack Brady and Chris Deminico in the 70s doubles 

Brandon Lau and his partner Daniel Pazanin won the Big Ball 1-Wall Doubles

“Great job by the Town of Manchester getting courts ready for play,” stated Charter Oak Park ambassador Michael Sullivan. “We are so grateful for all the Town of Manchester has done for the park and for our sport. Thanks to tournament director Tom Marzilli and Eric Barnes for running great tournament.”
