New York City, NY, WPH Press, 8/30/15- 2015 Big Blue Ballers featured one of the best 1-Wall Big Ball fields of the summer competing for one of the game’s most highly regarded titles. Kadeem Bush entered the Big Blue Ballers as 1-Wall handball’s rising star but would have to contend with current 1-Wall world champion Timbo Gonzalez, current 1-Wall Big Ball national champion Tywan Cook and 1-Wall superstar Justin Richie to become 2015’s “Biggest Baller.”
Bush advanced to the final to face frequent sparring partner and friendly rival Tywan Cook. Despite lacking the experience and championship pedigree, Bush blitzed Cook to start the one-game final, building a 17-5 lead and standing just four points from the title. Cook showed his immense heart and skill, rallying to score 13 of the next 14 points to tie the final at 18. Bush regrouped, scoring the final three points of the match to announce himself as one of 1-Wall Big Ball handball’s most promising stars.
“I’m still kind of in shock, but it feels good to get my first singles title,” revealed an ecstatic Bush.
“Kadeem is clutch and he goes for his shots,” revealed Gonzalez. “He hit the big shots at the end. Kadeem is very talented and a great player.”
Bush will take his talents to Las Vegas for the WPH/WOR 3WallBall Outdoor World Championships and 1-Wall International Cup September 24th-27th (entry here)
