Simple Green US Open & WPH R48Pro V Stop #1- Oct 22nd-25th, 2015

The Simple Green US Open of Handball marks the kick-off of the WPH R48Pro Professional 4 Wall Handball Tour of 2015/16 and the end of the WPH Outdoor 3 Wall Big Ball season (both ranked events w/WPH).

Fountain Valley, CA, and Los Caballeros Sports Village, along with Naty Alvarado Sr, host another handball major in the beautiful OC.  This year, WPH elite women and men will play in an “Open” event (no qualifiers); while 40+ senior results will count toward the rankings. “There is $3,000 being offered for 40+ Seniors (1st place & $7,000 paid down thru the quarters) and this bracket will play with the R48Pro Handball,” says WPH Director, Dave Vincent.   “Naty Alvarado and his team didn’t stop there either, this year Simple Green is allowing singles and doubles play.  That’s $20,000 in doubles alone [$10,000 for first; paying down to the quarters] and $24,000 for the Race4Eight Men’s Elite Singles.”  Vincent also states that Senior 40+, Men’s Pro Singles & Men’s Pro Doubles will use the R48Pro Handball; while, the USHA Red 21 ball will be used for the Women’s Pro and all other indoor 4 Wall Events.

Outdoor, 3 Wall big ball and 1 wall big ball will fill the show court arena, constructed specifically for this event (al a Vegas 3Wallball).  Men’s Singles Big Ball 1 Wall brings with it $3,000 for first and $7,500 paid down to the quarters; Men’s Big Ball 3 Wall has $13,000 dispersed throughout the top eight finishers, with the winner netting a whopping $5,000!  The same payouts for Big Ball 3 Wall Doubles, plus accelerated pay outs in women’s 1 wall big ball w/nearly $15,000 in prize money between the two!

“We love the OC and the Alvarado family,” states Kara Mack, WPH Sideline Reporter.  “Simple Green, Bruce Fabrizio, Fred Waterfall, Jeff Hyder, Mark & Debbie Shelgren and volunteers and supporters really make this the ‘can’t miss’ event of the year!”
