Two-time national champion forty-two-year Olympic Club member Dean Crispen was named San Francisco Fire Chief, a testament to his outstanding thirty-four-year career on the San Francisco Fire Department and the respect he has earned amongst his peers through his bravery on fifty critical incidents. In addition to the bravery displayed in the fifty aforementioned incidents, Chief Crispen volunteered in New York City in the immediate aftermath of 9/11.

“Incredible honor to receive this appointment,” stated Chief Cripsen, who cited responding to 9/11 as his most memorable call on the fire department. “After thirty-four years of experience in the field, this is a natural next step for me as unknowingly, I’ve been preparing for this position for many years. This is a great opportunity to ensure the members and citizens of my hometown stay safe and are prepared for an earthquake or other disaster.”

Congratulations to Chief Crispen on the incredibly well-deserved promotion to San Francisco Fire Chief.

Thank you to Northern California ambassador and San Francisco Police Department’s Lou Barberini for the information on Fire Chief Dean Crispen.
