The Patreon WPH Rapid Fire Challenge has allowed handball fans to get to know their favorite handball stars and legends, as handball’s best have revealed their favorite cities to play, toughest opponents, longest matches, most satisfying victories, favorite tournaments, and much more.

The WPH has posted dozens of WPH Rapid Fire Challenges on Patreon since the start of the pandemic, and we’ve tallied the votes of the current handball stars and legends in Part I of Player Votes.

Rapid Fire Challenge: Player Votes I

Favorite City to Play: Fountain Valley, CA (Los Caballeros Sports Village)

The beaches, the weather, and the courts made Los Cab an overwhelming choice for the “favorite city to play” amongst the players. Don’t forget that players and fans could watch the best 4-Wall, 3-Wall, and 1-Wall players in the game at one facility at Los Cab each October, as Simple Green hosted one of the game’s premiere events.

Toughest Opponent: Killian Carroll

The “K Train” is tied for the most R48 titles in R48 Men’s Pro history (15), and his peers and fans have cited him as the toughest person to play in the game. Killian’s speed, tenacity, and willingness to play offense from anywhere on the court suffocates his opponents, making Killian one of the greatest players of the 21st century.

Handball Hero: (tied) David Chapman & Paul Brady

Paul Brady and David Chapman were unsurprisingly named the top handball heroes by the players and fans. Two of the games most accomplished and beloved players left an indelible mark on the sport, encouraging countless new players and inspiring current players to raise their games to another level.

Best Fans: Tucson, AZ

The glass-pounding at the TRC, the enthusiasm from the lower and upper decks at the TRC show court, and the incredible passion the Tucson handball community brings to every event made Tucson the player and fan choice for best fans. If you’ve ever played or watched a match at the TRC, you know playing or watching a match in the “Old Pueblo” is a rush like no other in handball.
