Dr. Z Takes the 2024 3-Wall Eastern Regionals

Columbia, MD, WPH Press, 8/11/24

The Centennial Park 3-Wall Courts played host to the 2024 3-Wall Eastern Regionals in Columbia, MD, featuring players from Maryland, Florida, Texas, New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C.

54-year-old former SR48 star Dr. Dan Zimet has made the Centennial Park 3-Wall Courts his personal playground, dominating the 3-Wall Eastern Regionals Open Singles for decades. 2024 was no exception, as Dr. Z. stomped the open field, winning his three matches without dropping a game, including a two-game sweep against Southern California transplant Carlos Chavez in the final.
“I’m just trying to hang on since every year could be the last time,” stated Zimet.

Final: Zimet def C. Chavez 21-12, 21-7
