December 14-15, 2024 WPH R48 Icebreaker Full Preview

The fourth Race 4 Eight Icebreaker, ninety-first Race 4 Eight event, and twenty-seventh overall Icebreaker kicks off at the WPH’s Clark Park on Saturday, December 14, with the game’s best outdoor stars aiming to etch their names onto the Clark Park Wall of Fame. Joining the R48 stars will be the best big ball 3-Wall singles and doubles players and women’s and junior players.

Six-time Icebreaker champion Lucho Cordova enters the 2024 R48 Icebreaker as the two-time defending R48 Icebreaker champion and the top seed. Joining Lucho in the R48 Icebreaker draw will be R48 #3 and one-time Icebreaker champion Danos Cordova, 2024 Ice Bowl champion and R48 #4 Leo Canales, six-time Icebreaker champion and R48 #5 David Fink, 2024 R48 Portland Classic finalist and R48 #6 Ray Ure, and many of the Race 4 Eight’s top twenty.

Big ball stars Samzon Hernandez, Chopper Hernandez, Alberto Pizano, Alfredo Morales, Boxer Rosales headline the Icebreaker big ball singles and doubles.

Women’s Icebreaker stars Mikaila Esser and Ashley Ruiz will renew their rivalry at Clark Park in the Women’s Pro singles.

Players and non-player fans will be treated to a Saturday BBQ lunch, headed by the WPH’s grilling dream team of Scott Cleveland, Russ Whitten, and Jim Verhaeghe.
