JR WPH is proud to support Race 4 Eight superstar Danos Cordova’s weekly collegiate coaching sessions with the University of Texas collegiate handball team at Gregory Gym in Austin, TX.
The University of Texas handball players were instructed for the second consecutive semester by one of handball’s most dynamic and winning players, armed with the game’s most lethal hop and an all-around game that has seen Coach Danos capture Race 4 Eight and Icebreaker titles.
“I do a lot of sparring with the players,” stated Coach Danos. “While we are playing, I will help them with their footwork and swings. We work on serving a lot; I teach them to bounce the ball with their right hand and use the whole serving box by rocking back and going forward. We do a lot of off-hand work as well. I don’t take it easy on them because I want them to see the game at a fast pace.”
“Daniel has continued to work with our recruits from the fall semester, while also developing our long-time members,” stated University of Texas handball ambassador Noel Aguilar. “His knowledge and experience benefit our players weekly as they work on group drills and one-on-one instruction.”
Thank you to Coach Danos for growing the storied handball tradition at the University of Texas.
