Today, the WPH made this announcement:

“The safety and well-being of our athletes, the fans and supporters of this sport is of the upmost importance to us.  We have monitored state-wide, local and regional news and will continue to follow government and city officials, to include the World Heath Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC), plus our own state of Arizona and county of Pima, as we monitor and obtain all of the latest updates from COVID-19 (coronavirus).

On a week-by-week basis, effective today, Friday, March 13th, 2020, all World Player of Handball Foundation events will be postponed for up to eight weeks or longer, pending positive news from those officials mentioned previously.  We ask that EVERYONE follow the CDC guidelines for hygiene in the attempt to help rid the virus from spreading.  Our ultimate goal is to resume normal operations as quickly as possible and appreciate your understanding and patience.”

The WPH asks that you follow your local club, association, and state handball association’s recommendations regarding handball gatherings; to include monitoring the USHA website, GAA Handball and WPHLive.tv.
