Learn the secrets to a dominating power serve in three-wall handball with WPH Master Instructor David Fink!
Filmed at Clark Park in Tucson, Arizona, this tutorial focuses on avoiding the dreaded “dead zone” and forcing your opponents into tough positions.
Fink recommends aiming your serves either a foot from the service line or a foot from the back line. He breaks down three key power serves:
* Long Serve: Drive the ball deep and straight, close to the back line. Even if anticipated, this serve is challenging to return.
* Short Serve: Surprise your opponent! When they expect a long serve, hit the sidewall just past the short line. This makes for a very difficult return.
* Serve to the Right: Deception is key. When your opponent anticipates a serve to the left, go deep to the right. This could give you a fly kill opportunity.
Remember, avoid the dead zone and aim for those target areas to score points or set up winning rallies.
