Catriona Casey: 2021/22 Player’s Cup Champion

Catriona Casey returned from the two-year WR48 pandemic-induced hiatus even more dominant than before, winning both of her 2021/22 WR48 starts en route to winning her seventh consecutive WR48 Player’s Cup for being the WR48 Player of the Year. Casey logged 18,234 miles to win her two 2021/22 WR48 stops to add to her total of more than 200,000 miles traveled to her 24 WR48 starts. Casey has never relinquished the WR48 #1 ranking since seizing it after winning the first WR48 event at the 2013 Simple Green U.S. Open. Casey completed her fifth undefeated season (6-0) in winning her seventh WR48 Player’s Cup, while winning her twenty-second WR48 title at the 2022 Aces Player’s Championship.

DV also serves as the Executive Director of the World Player of Handball at the WPH headquarters in Tucson, AZ, working daily to grow the game of handball through innovation.
