Breaking Down the R48 Men’s Pro Finals and Champions

The Race 4 Eight has held 100 R48 Men’s Pro events, with the inaugural Race stop held at the 2011 Plummer Family Bash in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Since the 2011 Plummer Bash, the Race 4 Eight has traveled to 17 states and two countries, showcasing the world’s best players from California to New York and Minnesota to Mexico, adding ESPN to millions of homes in 2014. 

3,007 players have entered the 100 R48 Men’s Pro events, with just 13 players winning a Race 4 Eight Men’s Pro title.

The Race 4 Eight’s Big Five, comprised of Killian Carroll (23), Paul Brady (15), Martin Mulkerrins (15), Lucho Cordova (14), and Luis Moreno (10) have gobbled up 77 of the 100 Race titles, leaving just 23 titles for the remaining Race contenders. 

Killian Carroll sits atop the Race mountain with 23 Race titles. The number of titles per player range from 23 (Carroll) to one (Garner/Ure). Nine players have advanced to a Race final without winning a title.

22 players have advanced to a Race final, with 12 of those 22 from the U.S., seven from Ireland, two from Mexico, and one from Canada. 

No teenager has won a Race title, but one 40+ year-old has. 

34 of the 100 Race finals have gone to a tiebreaker.
