The Cincinnati handball community played host to the invite-only Cincinnati 3-Wall Pro Invitational at Veterans Park, featuring selected Race 4 Eight pros Ivan Burgos, Sam Esser, Jab Bike, Abraham Montijo, and Matt Job competing in the Queen City.

Burgos advanced to the final in the upper bracket by defeating Montijo, while Jab Bike needed to rally from match point down in the second game to defeat Esser in a tiebreaker in the bottom bracket.

Trailing 14-11 after losing the first game, Bike scored the final sixteen points of the match to advance to the final. “On match point, Sam hit a great serve to the left and I hit it off my pinky and it cracked out on the front wall,” Bike would later say.

Bike was in control throughout the final, keeping Burgos off-balance with his short and deep power serve and dominating the rallies his overhand drives and front court kills.

“I felt like I played pretty good,” stated Bike. “I was able to get my serve going yesterday in the second half of my semi and got into a good rhythm in the first and second today. Ivan is so lethal from everywhere on the court. I’m glad I was able to pull this one off. Thank you to Matt Job, Scott Walker, and the rest of the GCHA for having us out at this tournament. Great hospitality and a great environment.”
