The 2022 Albany Open Wraps
Albany, NY, WPH Press, 11/20/22- One of the Northeast’s premiere 4-Wall events was held in the middle of November at Albany’s Colonie Court Club, pitting the best from Canada against the best from the Northeast. Canadian legend Danny Bell led the contingent from the Great White North, with Arthur Sayed and Eric Lee leading the U.S. contingent.
Bell advanced to the Men’s Open Singles final with a two-game sweep against fellow Canadian Vincent St-Amant, meeting his protégé Jerome Santerre in the final. Santerre was pushed to a tiebreaker in his semifinal win against New York’s Arthur Sayed.
Bell cruised to the 2022 Albany Open title, defeating Santerre in two games.
“Danny was sharp, much more than anyone could expect from someone 61,” stated Arthur Sayed.

Santerre def Sayed 21-6, 19-21, 11-5
