The World Players of Handball, the Denver handball community and the Denver Athletic Club are thrilled to bring the Race 4 Eight back to Denver, December 11-13, 2026, featuring the R48 Men’s Pro and the WR48, in addition to amateur singles and doubles brackets.
The Denver Athletic Club is one of the country’s best facilities with outstanding courts and spectator viewing. The Denver Athletic Club first hosted the Race in 2014 and will proudly host their second stop in the final weeks of 2026.
2026 DAC Open Race 4 Eight tournament info:
- DAC Open Race 4 Eight Pro Events: R48, WR48
- Tournament directors: John Chapman and Joel Barber
- Ball: WPH Red 21
- The event will be filmed and streamed live on ESPN by the WPH broadcast team
- Ranking points and prize money courtesy of the World Players of Handball
- All other divisions will be administered by the DAC Open tournament committee

WPH RACE 4 EIGHT: The World Players of Handball’s Race 4 Eight Powered by ESPN features Race 4 Eight stops around the country, all culminating with The Player’s Championship. Similar to NASCAR’s Nextel Cup and the FedEx PGA Playoffs, players earn points in the Race 4 Eight’s regular season stops to qualify for the season-ending Player’s Championship and bonus prizes. The Elite 8 Men and Fab 4 Women and Fab 4 Seniors will receive bonus money upon the completion of the season. Please contact the WPH for this season’s bonus structure.
